Browsing through bargains sites like Jump-on-it, Spreets, Cudo etc has been my daily ritual. You can totally expect massive savings on most deals offered.

As soon as I saw Milany's offer of paying just $9 for $19 worth of spending in store, I can't click to buy quick enough. Only one voucher is allowed per person and I bought another one under husband's name :P.


Decor is a bit ........ What's with the drape across the ceilings? Is it a new trend I don't know about? Well, what do I know, I ain't no interior designer.

Lots of flavours on offer, the most interesting being 'pink bubblegum'. I didn't try it though but I might.

Apart from ice-creams, there are some dessert options in the chiller for non ice-cream eater. Really, they exist?? Get-outtahere. The cakes and pies looked good though. Just, nobody seems to be interested.........

Cute 'Pinocchio' for the kids. Princess ALWAYS want lemon and I chose watermelon cos you're allowed to choose two flavours.

I hadn't had banana split for, um, too long. Nostalgic much. It was the in thing to order when I was maybe five. Back then I never get to order because I hate bananas (slimy, sticky, ewwww, hated it as a kid) and also ice-cream was considered luxury item in the house let alone paying hiked-up restaurant/ice-cream parlours prices. No chance.

Tacky decor aside, the gelati is great! Princess declared Milany as her favourite gelati shop in town. Nuff said.

Yes, its one thing to take photos in public and another to publish it. Really, it's ok to publish without these subjects permission/knowledge?? I don't know.....I am not familiar with privacy law and am not taking any chances.....

Sorry no offense, it's the first time I've seen anyone do it. It makes me think those people are wanted criminals or perverts :P

[Fashion] Trade Secrets

I mentioned a little about my fashion taste before. Generally, I like anything casual but 'well-made'.

I don't believe in spending a fortune on brands to look good. You can be stylo even in cheapy clothes but not head to toe, mind you. It depends on how you wear them.

For eg, a cheap $5 grey tee (cheap) with jeans (always difficult to determine the price-range) plus a LV or Gucci or Chanel bag (expensive, or you could opt for mid-range) plus some accesories (cheap, again difficult to tell the price). Trust me, you will look a million dollar.

To be honest, I am mostly in jeans and t-shirt, sandals and my favourite Longchamp bag (my designer bags are left forgotten at the corner of wardrobe).

Trade Secret is one such place I find my well-made casual pieces at rock bottom price. It is Australia's answer to US' TJ Maxx or UK's TK Maxx. There is new stock everyday. So I will go once a week or a fortnight, on a weekday, to go check check.

Sometimes I like to wear skirt too but it can be quite 'inappropriate' at times with naughty naughty Princess in tow.

Marcs Tulip dress (A$30 @ Trade Secret)

I love Marcs casual wear (not Marcs by Marc Jacob but an Australian brand) but I don't like the price very much. When Trade Secret have shipments in from Marcs, I go crazy (well, in the changing room). The tulip dress is retailing at A$170. Crazy crazy prices at Trade Secret. What am I waiting for? Buy, buy, buy.......

Long cardi knit by Just Add Sugar (A$39.95 @ Trade Secret)

I suppose this is a staple piece in ALL Jap and Korean girls' wardrobe. I have been eyeing this style for the longest time. I tried one on at Universal but at A$89.95, it's expensive for me. Imagine my joy when I saw this hanging at Trade Secret. I do the 'does my bum look big in this' test in the changing room. No (I have massive bum, I tell ya). Great relief. Down from A$69.95, not exactly greatly discounted. Still....Buy, buy, buy.....

I am looking for a light jacket, I saw this Wish mock leather jacket for A$79.95. Hmmm, still thinking...........

I feel this is a good representation of how to wear them for everyday look.

I think you could safely pull off the styles on the left minus the boots in even tropical Brunei.

And oh, fringe and long straight smooth hair is in. Yeah, I am sporting it at the moment. Totally my style. Only because I have fine, dead straight hair, haha. I never thought it would become 'fashionable' any time.

But hey, I'm loving it.

Dark Delights by OPI

I love dark vampy nail colours.

The mini versions look cute, I just got to try all the colours!

My absolute favourite is the Lincoln Park After Dark. The dark aubergine colour makes my hand look fairer. I am so impressed I bought a full size version.

Akin - Lavender and Rose Repairing, Anti-Oxidant Night Creme

'Natural' products in Australia is a big industry.

Glancing through my local organic supermarket's skincare shelves, I counted about 5 or 6 different brands. The products range from handmade soaps to face care, body care, hair care and aromatherapy. Some even claimed to be 'vegan'??

Akin (Australian) and Trilogy (New Zealand) are two brands that caught my interest. I have tried some samples and liked them immensely.

When David Jones did a 20% off on all Akin range, I quickly grabbed the Repairing, Anti-Oxidant Night creme. It also claimed to be anti-aging and restructuring the skin's damage surface. Sounds like a miracle cream, no? How does a cream allege to do so many jobs??

On application, I can feel instant tightness to my skin. Normally that happens when a cream is too drying on my skin. But eh, I don't feel my skin drying out, just tight. No peeling on the cheek. Mmmm, anti-aging, tick. The following morning, rushed to the mirror after waking up. No peeling? Good sign. Start touching the skin, wow, smooth like Princess' bottom. Repairing, tick, restructuring, tick. Anti-oxidant, how does one test??

I am glad I found a solution for my dry and irritated cheeks. It is so bad I have to reapply calendula cream repeatedly over my usual face cream (I used Jurlique and Avene) and woke up several times during the night because of the itch on my dried and peeling like crazy cheeks. With Akin, I never need to reapply anything. Even good news is the cream is only A$35. I will be looking into the day cream next. Guess PH Advantage will have to wait....

The Australia collection has the prettiest colours. I first bought the nude colour 'Canberra without you', a pinkish shimmery nude. I went crazy after putting it on my toenails. Oh so pretty, so pretty! Rushed to David Jones the next weekend to grab these little babies.

Perfect pink - Didgeridoo Your Nails? (so pretty it makes me feel)
