Afternoon Tea Delights - Baklava and Cheesecake
Top: A selection of baklava bought from M&S
Bottom: Chocolate and original Boston cheesecake
Baklava is as usual tooth-achingly sweet but they're delicious nonetheless. Those made from filo pastry has the melt-in-your-mouth texture. My selection has three types of fillings: walnut, cashew nuts and pistachio nuts. I am partial towards the cashew nut versions. The taste is more refined and do not have the heavy aftertaste.
Boston cheesecake was my first try. It didn't come out great as they separates but the texture is silky and smooth, much like eating ice-cream. I guess I didn't beat the egg whites stiff enough. I will post the recipe after more experimenting.

East Meet West Prata
Having seen a similar combination at Aromacookery, they look interesting enough, I decided to make my own.
Verdict: They didn't taste too bad but the 3 combition is a tad heavy for the stomach. Sausage-oily, cheese-kinda oily, prata-definitely oily. Makes your stomach bloated after eating, and be sure not to check your cholesterol level after forcing them all down your throat..........
STAY AWAY FROM GO-GO EXPRESS - just kidding, go stuff your face if you want, don't mind me........
