Chinese Tongsui - Black Glutinous Rice and Red Bean Soup

My favourite tongsui.

Ingredients:
A handful of black glutinous rice
A handful of red bean
Rock sugar
Coconut milk (as much or as little as you like)

Method:
1. Soaked the black glutinous rice overnight and rinse several times before use.
2. Rinse the red bean.
3. Chuck both rice and bean into a pot and add water (I like it very soupy so I add water three quarter full)
4. Bring water to boil, add half a cup of water and bring heat up to simmering point (this ensure heat is distributed evenly so the bean will not be some hard, some soft)
5. Boil for 1.5 hour or until, red bean soft and rice 開花.
6. Add in coconut milk and sugar, turn off heat when sugar has dissolved completely.

Very good tongsui for ladies, 補血 and reduce water retention.
